The most common Internet marketing problem I encounter is that a site has been
up for a period of time yet there is little or no sales activity, or even visitors.
The first thing I point out to the business owner is that 5 million other people
placed their sites online the same day he activated his/hers. Without promotion,
few shoppers will find his/her site in that enormous pile. With promotion, his/her
site can gain access to that stream of interested shoppers.
Since the vast majority of customers use search tools to find their products/services,
using those same tools makes it possible to determine the amount of traffic
available to a given site, determine the probable penetration into that traffic
and direct it to him/her. Such an effort encompasses site design & evaluation,
keyword discovery & promotions, database problem solving, e-merchant services
and a lot of 'grunt' work.
That is the essence of Internet Tradewinds.
